Baby, It's Cold Outside

The weather has been quite blustery and dreary the past two days and I've not felt very well so I've pretty much stayed in bed. Plus I want to feel well enough for Bruges so I'm just taking it easy. During this downtime I've been thinking a lot about home and what I miss. I absolutely adore France, but I still have my days. Anyway I made a list.

Things I'm excited to come home for:

1. My family, obviously
2. My best
3. The mountains
4. Running errands with my Moim
5. Provo, Salt Lake, Springville, Heber, Park City
6. My cousins. I miss them so much!
7. Not having to use public transportation
8. My own bed
9. Tank and Strider
10. My cellular. I still imagine that my phone is vibrating in my purse.
11. Grey's marathons with my best
12. Redbox. I know this is silly but I miss just renting a movie for a dollar.
13. Days Market
14. BYU. Oh how I miss school.
15. Target
16. Canyon drives
17. Hikes up the canyon
18. My bike Clinton
19. Living in a place where people can understand when I speak
20. My aunt Becky's house
21. Being in the same time zone as everyone I love
22. Seeing the temple
23. Knowing that when I pay $10 for something, it's really $10, not 15 euros
24. Motorcycle rides
25. People knowing that Mormons aren't Amish
26. Saying goodbye to Mischka forever. The 7 am wakeup calls are getting pretty old!
27. Using normal plugs, not converters

After making that list I decided there were a lot of things that I just love about right now.:

1. I couldn't live in a more wonderful place. Saint-Maur is lovely!
2. BAGUETTES. I could go on and on about how amazing they are. I wish I had one right now.
3. Chocolate Bread.
4. I'm 30 minutes away from Paris!!
5. All of the places I'm going to see in the next 8 months
6. Emails from my family and friends
7. Skype!!!!!!!!!!!!!
8. Marie-Claude. She's fantastic
9. I'm living one of my dreams!!
10. I get to walk everywhere {sometimes I don't love this}
11. My future travel plans with my best to Italy
12. Having my family come out to see me. Fingers crossed
13. All of my time to myself
14. My favorite walk along the Marne
15. My French is improving. I think
16. Correspondance through letters
17. Receiving packages
18. Working in elementary schools
19. Cafes
20. Seeing tourists and hearing native English
21. Knowing how to use the metro and RER
22. Students that tell me I'm beautiful and that they like my hair
23. Harry Potter marathons when it's blustery like today!
24. French bakeries
25. Open air markets
26. Learning how to cook meals for myself
27. Having a French bank card that says "Mlle Madison Bramwell." {Mlle=Mademoiselle}
28. Real crepes

I could go on and on with both lists but I'll spare you. I miss home with all of my heart, but France is simply amazing. I'm happy to be here, I just need to remember that when I'm a tiny bit sad.
