Water and Bridges (DC reference)

I woke up today with a sour attitude and was feeling a little down. I felt like staying in bed all day but it was too glorious outside. So I made myself get up and I took a walk along the Marne River that is just next to my house. It ended up being one of the best days I have had so far!

The Marne surrounds Saint-Maur on three sides and is completely gorgeous.

The windows on the bottom were for a large sunroom. How wonderful!

Aren't these houses great? I love them!

This was the best part of the walk. It was so Little Mermaid and Mother Willow from Pocahontas.

There are weeping willows all over! They are just my favorite tree.

Whatever. I'm just a tourist. Note the head tilt. Nice.

Seriously? There were swans! It made me miss my best. She's been a swan before in Swan Lake and I know she would have appreciated this.

Saint-Maur is the most wonderful little city. I love it very much and I'm just happy to be here!
